Joins us tomorrow for our final masterclass of the semester at University of Louisville School of Music with Alex Komodore! We will be in room 142 from 3-5pm. Alex Komodore is internationally recognized as a guitar performer, scholar and teacher. His European Tour in 2019 included performances and teaching opportunities in Turkey, Greece, France and Scotland.

Our guitar students are making very high level chamber music this semester. We are delighted to be joined by the wonderful Meg Booker, a graduate student of the voice studio at University of Louisville School of Music.

Our professor Carlos Bedoya- Guitarist is performing a faculty recital this coming Saturday at 7:30. Don't miss it!

Our faculty are extremely hardworking and talented. Come out to see Professor Carlos Bedoya’s faculty recital on April 11. The performance will include works by Bach, Assad, Barrios, Gabriel Evens, Sid King, and more. Professor Bedoya will be joined by colleagues such as: Davis Hale (saxophone), Cristina Bedoya (piano), Katherine Donner (voice), Sid King (bass), and Paul York (cello).

Our resident graduate student Freddy has been working on Bachianas brasileiras No.5 by Villa Lobos. This piece has been arranged for cello and guitar duet by Villa Lobos himself! Thanks to Jennifer for her wonderful cello playing!

These past two weeks have been filled with some memorable guitar performances and events! First we have the Guitar Ensemble Invitational this past Sunday where the UofL guitarists worked & performed with many of the nearby high school guitar students; concluding with an En Mass orchestra performance led by the amazing Lynn McGrath! We also have extra pictures from the outreach performance a couple weeks ago at Bridgepointe Gardens!
