This past Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, Sayers' Players (the drama society of Sayers Classical Academy) performed *Cleopatra's Curse*. Under the direction of Ms. Morgan Aldridge and stage management of Ms. Sarah Harmon, students were responsible for every aspect of this performance, including writing the play, painting the sets, etc. We are thankful for Ms. Aldridge and Ms. Harmon and so proud of our students!

Our Dads had a great time playing basketball against our rhetoric boys and our moms battled against our girls in volleyball. Our students fought hard, but the parents came away with the wins! The game night was a fundraiser to support our Jr/Sr trips. Thank you to all who made this event a success!

Our 1st grade students and their moms had a great day at “The Little Loom House” learning how natural fibers are spun into yarn and weaving on table top looms.

Yesterday The SCA tutors and staff were honored at our Annual tutor appreciation luncheon. They were showered with cards and notes of thanks from students and families. Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers that made this event possible.

On November 5, 2021, the Rotary Club of New Albany hosted their 27th Community Toast and Benefit Banquet, honoring Dr. Dan Eichenberger for a lifetime of .
Sayers Classical Academy was honored to be his chosen charity, receiving a donation for $15,711.50!

Senior Spotlight:
Jeremy Evans started attending Sayers in Pre-K. His senior year completes his 14th year. His teachers describe him as an exemplary student. He is considerate, mature, diligent, creative and artistically minded. He is probing and curious about his studies. He is teachable, humble, a true leader, and a friend to all. Jeremy will attend Judson University and study architecture.

Corrie Crenshaw has attended Sayers for 4 years. Her teachers describe her as thoughtful, caring, compassionate, intelligent, and dependable. She is determined and thinks deeply. She is witty and has a great sense of humor. She spreads kindness to all those around her, and truly cares for others. Corrie will attend Cedarville University and major in nursing.

Race Marcum has attended Sayers for seven years. His teachers say that he is passionate, persistent, and competitive. He is humorous, bright, thoughtful, and kind. He is a team player. Race will attend Cedarville University in the fall, and major in business.

Vivian Marcum has attended Sayers for seven years. Her teachers describe her as humble, bright, diligent, energetic, and thoughtful. She is a kind and loyal friend. She is generous and constantly encouraging others. She is a hard worker, full of life, and can light up a room with her smile. In the fall, she will attend The University of Louisville, and study education with an emphasis in special needs to possibly work with children with Downs Syndrome.

He is dutiful and persistent. He is a caring friend with a kind heart. After graduation, Teague would like to study sports administration at the University of Louisville.

Senior Spotlight: Dietrich Crenshaw
Dietrich has attended SCA since the 8th grade. His teachers describe him as full of charisma and charm. He is thoughtful, diligent, organized, hardworking and loyal. He cares deeply for others, and always has a kind word to share. He is a strong student, and exhibits Christian character. He has a great sense of humor, but also knows how to take things seriously. He never meets a stranger. After graduation, he plans to study aviation mechanics at JCTC.
