We want to thank the ASL 302 class for their hard work and dedication. We hosted three events this spring semester (Cochran Elementary School, Noe Middle School, and Manual Dupont High School), which is a first time in the history of the ASL program! We will continue the process of growth. Maybe a deaf school! Wait and see!
Looking forward to seeing you next year! 🤟🏻

A new partnership between UofL’s American Sign Language Interpreting Studies (ASLIS) program in the Department of UofL Classical & Modern Languages and Vincennes University is opening doors for students to complete their bachelor’s degrees with the added benefit of paying in-state tuition.
“I am excited about this because Vincennes has a very long history and a fabulous reputation for developing ASL-proficient signers, so being able to take the fundamentals and foundational information they have taught and then help grow interpreters who will stay relatively local is important,” said Sonja Smith, Assistant Professor Term and Director of Undergraduate Studies, ASL Interpreting Studies at UofL.
