This week’s Chapel gave us another opportunity to continue this year’s theme of Knowing God as we welcomed back Pastor Wesley Bishop.

Wesley, a member of the BHCS Class of 2023 and now Youth Pastor at GracePointe at Beechland, shared with our students on the mercy of God.

We’re grateful for the reminders God gives us along the way, for His mercy and the ways He watches over and cares for us. It’s also a blessing to see where God is leading Wesley and to have him share from that journey with our students.

Thankful for Wesley and the message he shared. 🙌

House spirit was on display at Chapel this week, along with Mr. Young’s message on the justice of God.

Our House System is designed to build a strong, Christ-centered culture among our middle and high school students while supporting our mission to cultivate Christian leaders through academic excellence and spiritual development.

Students in grades 6–12 are placed into one of three houses, Saints, Lions, or Shepherds, and work together throughout the year to earn points through friendly competition, Christian character, responsibility, school involvement, and a strong work ethic.

Along the way, students build community, encourage one another, and represent their house as they compete for the title of House Champion! 🏆

Happy Grandparents Day! ❤️💙

As we look back on Friday’s special Grandparents Day time together, Mrs. Sherry Foster, our Elementary Librarian, reminded us that grandparents are quite an “army” of influence. Every family is unique, and through it all, the little ones are watching and listening, learning and remembering. Her words carried an extra personal touch as she and her husband, Greg, are new grandparents themselves.

The message echoed a familiar theme from Deuteronomy about one generation faithfully influencing the next.

Our students helped carry that message through song with “Mighty God” and “Whatever.”

It was a special day to pause, smile, and be grateful for those we’re blessed to have around us. ❤️

Yesterday we were grateful to welcome back one of our own, Hunter Judd, youth pastor at Harvest Baptist Church and a Beth Haven alumnus who has also served on our staff.

Hunter spoke with our students about the holiness of God as we continue this year’s Chapel theme, Knowing God.

It’s always a special time when those who once walked these halls return to encourage and challenge the next generation of Bearcats. 🙏

We’re thankful for Hunter, for the time he shared with our students, and for another meaningful Chapel together.
