Introducing the 2026 NAHRO Merit College Scholarship winners!
Representing each of NAHRO’s eight regional councils, these students live in a household or are provided a housing related service by a NAHRO member agency; and are pursuing their first post-secondary degree in fields such as civil engineering, biology, communication, nursing, business administration, architecture and elementary education.
From these eight regional winners, three outstanding students have been additionally awarded the multi-year NAHRO-LDG Scholarship: Adriana Nunez Tang, Isabelle Mohr, and Chyla Richardson (pictured across the top). The NAHRO-LDG Scholars Program is a 10-year venture — funded by the award-winning multi-family housing developer LDG Development — providing $1 million in scholarships and internship opportunities.
NAHRO will continue the celebration of these exceptional students this fall at the 2026 National Conference & Exhibition in Denver, CO. See you there!

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on freedom, resilience and the ongoing pursuit of opportunity for all.
As we commemorate the day enslaved people in Texas learned of their freedom more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, we also recognize the importance of creating communities where individuals and families have the opportunity to thrive.
Today, we honor the history, contributions and achievements of Black Americans while reaffirming our commitment to developing housing that helps create a brighter future for generations to come.
Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

We're disappointed by the St. Matthews City Council's decision regarding Gilmans Point.
Throughout the planning process, our team worked closely with local stakeholders, listened to community feedback and made meaningful changes to address concerns related to housing needs and traffic impacts. We believe the proposed development complies with all applicable ordinances and represents an opportunity to help address the region's growing housing shortage.
Gilmans Point will bring nearly 200 high-quality homes and a variety of resident amenities to an area where housing options continue to be limited for many working families, seniors and individuals.
Our commitment remains unchanged. Since our founding, we've operated under a simple belief: Everyone deserves a quality place to live. We will continue working with communities and partners to create responsible housing solutions that expand access to safe, attainable and high-quality housing throughout Louisville and beyond.
