Today at the 15th District PTA Awards Banquet, The Academy at Shawnee PTSA was recognized for our increase in membership! We are proud to share that we increased our membership by 10%, resulting in a 50-member increase during this school year (not shown on the award).

Thank you to all of our Staff/Faculty, Teachers, Parents, Students, and community supporters for believing in and supporting your PTSA. Your involvement and dedication help make a difference in the lives of our students and school community. We can’t wait to see what we accomplish next year!

Summer Learning Opportunities-From JCPS

Dear Jefferson County Public Schools Families,

As we head into the final month of the 2025-26 school year, we are excited to share several summer opportunities designed to keep our students engaged, active, and learning!

More than 80 of our schools are hosting unique summer programs tailored specifically to their own student communities. Your individual school will be reaching out soon with specific details on what they are offering. For immediate questions regarding your school’s specific plans, please feel free to contact them directly.

Our popular “Literacy &” programs are back! These sessions connect core literacy instruction with fun, character-building activities. Using grade-level books, students will explore exciting themes while sharpening their reading skills.

Dates: June 1 – 12

Eligibility: Current 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade JCPS students

Cost: Free
