Students hone their purpose in summer internships

Just days before her first birthday, Emersyn Haas endured a devastating dog attack that left her family in shock. Thanks to the extraordinary care she received at Norton Children's Hospital, Emersyn has made a remarkable recovery. Now, at two years old, she recently reunited with the nurses who became like family during her healing journey. We are extremely proud of Madisen Bowling and Kelsey Hargadon from Bellarmine University Nursing. Their compassion and expertise have made a significant difference, highlighting the resilience and life-changing impact of dedicated caregivers.

Bellarmine University is enhancing its commitment to character education with the help of a $50,000 grant from the Lilly Foundation. This funding supports a university-wide effort to incorporate the life and work of Thomas Merton into a revised core curriculum launched this fall.

Grant to infuse character education into core curriculum

For more than 25 years, Bellarmine has honored Martin Luther King Jr. Day with community involvement. Recently, the celebration has grown to a full week of events, activities, and opportunities for engagement. Bellarmine University is expanding upon its established undergraduate Psychology program by introducing its first graduate offering—a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, set to launch in Fall 2025, pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.

The first information session will occur tomorrow, January 8, from 6-8 p.m. Additional sessions will take place:
