We want every student to look their best, so please make sure your child is on time and dressed according to our Layne Elementary Dress Code Policy. . You're invited to our Open House on September 15th from 4:00 PM-5:30 PM! 🎉 Come meet your student's teacher, explore our vibrant school culture fair, and browse our book fair 📚 — this is the perfect chance to shop with your student and discover all the wonderful things happening here at Layne Elementary. We can't wait to see you there! ✨

Hello Layne Families,

Your student should have brought home a flyer today regarding Grandparent's Luncheon. Grandparent's luncheon will be on September 10th at your child's lunch time. See the lunch times attached below.

Tickets/RSVP's will be done on a presale basis only. Presales will be from 8/18- the morning of 8/24. If you do not RSVP and turn in your money by the morning of the 24th then you will not be able to get a lunch. Tickets will be $5 per lunch; and money needs to be turned in with an RSVP form. Due to size constraints we ask that families keep attendees to 4 family members at most per student.

The Dentist is Coming to Layne!
The School Smiles Dentist is coming to our school on 9/16/26! As a reminder, the dental team will set up in the school and see your child during the school day. School Smiles offers an Exam, Cleanings, X-Rays, Fluoride, as well as same day treatment if needed. This treatment can consist of Fillings, Sealants, or SDF. If you are interested in filling out a form for SDF or signing up your student to be seen please follow the link to the School Smiles Website www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup, for any questions call 855-497-6453. If you need a paper copy to register your student, please contact the FRC at 502-515-9032.

Great news! We are offering FREE haircuts and FREE nail painting at the Meet and Greet. If you want to sign your student up, please use the links below. THERE ARE LIMITED SPOTS. The form will close once all slots are filled. If you have more than one student that you want to sign up, you will have to fill the form out for each child. There are no guarantees due to limited space, so please only sign up current enrolled students at Layne. You will receive a confirmation text with the time and location of your appointment once the form closes.

Here's a quick heads up: if your student already has a backpack, please bring it, so we can tag it for transportation. No backpack yet? No worries—we've got you covered and will send one home with you!
