Today, Fern Creek FCCLA attended the Region 6 Fall Regional Meeting at Taylorsville Community Church! ❤️

The meeting gave FCCLA officers from across the region an opportunity to come together, participate in leadership training, gather important information, and begin planning for the school year ahead. Our students represented Fern Creek High School well and are excited to bring what they learned back to our chapter. We’re looking forward to a great year of FCCLA! ❤️🐯

🔥🚒 Hands-On Fire Science Training!

Our Fire Science students spent the day at the Regional Fire Training Facility, gaining hands-on experience with ladders, forcible entry, and firefighter survival skills in the challenging “Entanglement” prop.

Students also put their skills to the test in a house fire and rescue simulation involving an incapacitated firefighter and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) deployment.

Real-world training that prepares our students for the fire service! 🔥🐯

Our Early Childhood Pathway continues to GROW! 🎉🧸

To support that growth, we’ve expanded the learning space to include a dedicated classroom for instruction AND a dedicated lab space where students can put their learning into action!

We are so excited to watch our Early Childhood students and Ms. Bacon continue to learn, grow, and do AMAZING things! 🧡🖤

It was a great day of learning and networking for our student ambassadors!

15 Schools. 10 Years. Day 1 of Student Ambassador Training!

Across our 15 Academies of Louisville schools, student ambassadors serve as the crucial bridge between their schools and the community. These ambassadors represent the best of their academies by leading tours, sharing their pathway experiences, and ensuring student voices help shape the future of our programs.

Today, ambassadors from Atherton, Doss, Fern Creek, JTown, Moore, PRP, Seneca, and Shawnee gathered at UofL to kick off our year with the annual ambassador training.

These students are both the face and the heart of our schools!

🎓 A Day Full of Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🐯

Our Academy Student Ambassadors spent the day at the University of Louisville for the annual district Ambassador Training! They learned valuable skills to help them represent Fern Creek High School and our Academies, including mastering small talk, developing elevator pitches, networking, and confidently sharing their school experience. They also had a great opportunity to connect and network with Student Ambassadors from schools across the district.

Meanwhile, some of our Culinary students had a unique industry experience of their own! They attended the Gordon Food Service Food Show alongside one of our Culinary instructors, getting an inside look at the food service industry and exploring new products, trends, and opportunities.

From leadership and communication to real-world industry experiences, today was a great reminder that learning doesn’t always happen inside the classroom! 🧡🖤 Academies of Louisville
