Mrs. Ritenour's Raider Red Kindergarten

We started our day with Mrs. Decker! She reminded us we are beautifully made by God! We continued learning about nursery rhymes and than read "Rainbow Fish while talking ways to be a good friend. We are continuing to learn about numbers to 10, identifying them, and writing them!

Our first Monday of the year and it was a great one! We read "Chrysanthemum" and talked about how our names are unique! We shared why we love our names, graphed how many letters in our name, and made Chrysanthemum! Than we made our rainbow names! We started our Amplify unit and began learning about nursery rhymes! Today we went to STEM and music than got to have indoor recess!

FRIYAY!!! We had our first Friday church with Mrs. Decker! She read a book titled "Be You" and talked about all the ways we can ourselves! We practiced our letters with the story "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" and played a fun game! We read "Our Class is a Family" and got to share our family pictures! We added them to our class family board and got our class friendship bracelets to wear 🥰
We also practiced using our Ipads today and completed our IXL assessment! We ended the day with some fun in the gym and a fun Friday snack 😋

Day 3 in Kindergarten started off with all school mass! We did a great job of listening, learning, and participating in mass! I know we are only going to grow stronger in our faith and love for Jesus! We read and talked about what it means to be a bucket filler at school. We made our own buckets and focused on what we can do to fill someone's bucket. We also practiced our letters and talked about how important it is to know our letters and sounds so that we can learn how to read and write in kindergarten! In math we learned how to use our dry erase boards and did a great job writing out numbers to 10! We got to use bingo dobbers while identifying our numbers!

Day 2 in kindergarten! We had another great and busy day!! Today we read "David Goes to School" and talked about good choices and bad choices. We made David after drawing a good choice and bad choice. We also read "King of Kindergarten" and became kings and queens! We practiced our alphabet and played our first fluency and fitness game! We learned how to use dice in math and worked on our numbers to 10! We spent some time playing outside before going home!

We had a great first day of kindergarten!! We read The Kissing Hand, talked about our first day feelings, practiced using scissors, read Jitter Juice and had some to drink our jitters away, made our names with playdough, put numbers 1-10 in order, and counted with fruit loops!
