Nerd Nite is a monthly event held in more than 90 cities across the globe during which several folks give 18-21-minute fun-yet-informative presentations across all disciplines – while the audience drinks along. Imagine learning about everything from math feuds or the science of the Simpsons, to the genealogy of Godzilla or zombie insects.

Some creatures make us uncomfortable. Some freak us out. Some make us reach for a shoe. 😬 But our feelings about an animal and its critical role in the ecosystem are two very different things. Learning to separate the two might be essential to protecting the natural world around us.
