💙 Happy Father’s Day to the dads and partners who show up in the big moments and the little ones. Parenting—and feeding a baby—is a team effort, and your support makes a world of difference.
Whether you’re bringing snacks and water, setting up the nursing or pumping station, changing diapers, burping and soothing baby, taking a night shift, managing visitors, running errands, or wrangling older kids and pets, you are helping create the support a feeding parent needs to thrive. 💕
Thank you for being the cheerleader, the extra set of hands, and the steady support behind every feeding journey. The small acts matter, and they don’t go unnoticed.
Happy Father’s Day to the dads and partners who prove that caring for a baby—and supporting breastfeeding—is a partnership. 🩵

UnitedHealthcare's new policy will stop reimbursing lactation visits for babies.
The baby. The one who has to eat. I'd love to know how that's supposed to work.
When a baby isn't gaining weight, when feeding hurts, when milk transfer is poor, when jaundice or dehydration are concerns, both the parent and baby must be assessed.
UnitedHealthcare's proposed policy raises a critical question: How are we supposed to feed the baby if the baby isn't covered for lactation care?
You can't provide effective breastfeeding care without assessing the baby. Breastfeeding is a relationship between two patients—not just one. The baby is half of the feeding equation.
If coverage only includes the parent, who is advocating for the baby's feeding needs? Supporting breastfeeding means supporting both patients involved.
YOU can help fight this change.

UnitedHealthcare is proposing a policy change that would stop reimbursing lactation claims submitted for infants. But breastfeeding care is dyad care. You cannot effectively assess one without the other.
A breastfeeding visit isn't about one patient. It's about TWO.
When a baby isn't gaining weight, when feeding hurts, when milk transfer is poor, when jaundice or dehydration are concerns, both the parent and baby must be assessed.
Parents and babies deserve access to comprehensive lactation support—not partial care.
