Today, we celebrate Priesthood Sunday, a special day dedicated to honoring and giving thanks for the priests who faithfully serve our Church and communities.
We are especially grateful for Fr. Troy and all that he does for St. Nicholas Academy and our SNA family. Thank you for your faith, your guidance, your prayers, and the countless ways you serve others each day.

Last week, some of our staff represented St. Nicholas Academy at the Catholic Education Foundation’s annual Salute to the Game Luncheon, celebrating one of Louisville’s biggest rivalries: Trinity vs. St. X! 🏈💜🩶🖤

Today was all about bikes, safety, and having a little fun at SNA! Our 3rd and 4th grade students had the opportunity to participate in the Bike Safety Rodeo, a free, hands on program sponsored by Norton Healthcare that teaches children essential bicycle safety skills and the rules of the road. From learning safe riding habits to putting those skills into practice, our Panthers had a great time while learning how to stay safe on two wheels! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️
A huge thank you to Norton Healthcare for bringing this wonderful program to SNA and helping our students become safer, more confident riders! 💜🩶🖤

Yesterday was a big day at SNA, it was our first Parent Lunch of the year! We were so excited to welcome parents from our 1st and 4th grade classes to school to share lunch with their students and catch a little glimpse of what a typical school day looks like for our Panthers.
For the month of September, our 1st and 4th graders are collecting diapers for St. Bernadette’s Diaper Bank. Donations can be dropped off in the SNA main office or in the donation bin at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Please consider donating to our diaper drive and supporting your favorite 1st and 4th graders as they live out their call to serve others! 💜🩶🖤
** Our Parent Lunches will coincide with each class’ Servant Leadership Month. **

Today, a group of our 8th graders spent their day putting their faith into action by serving others. They visited the Cathedral of the Assumption, where they prepared food and then served lunch to those in need. This is just the beginning! Each month, a new group of 8th graders will have the opportunity to participate in this amazing experience and live out our call to serve others. We are grateful for opportunities like this that allow our students to grow in faith, compassion, and love for our community. 💜🩶🖤

We were blessed to welcome so many of our students’ grandparents and special loved ones to celebrate Mass followed by a wonderful reception. Thank you to our amazing 4th grade class for leading a beautiful liturgy and to our wonderful Parent Teacher Organization for a lovely reception.
Happy Grandparents’ Day to all of our amazing SNA grandparents!! 💜🩶🖤

Twenty-five years later, may we never forget the innocent lives taken, the sacrifices made, and the countless acts of kindness that reminded us of the strength of the human spirit.
