The Spalding University School of Social Work has been funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to provide half-tuition scholarships to eligible MSW students as part of the Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students Program!

Eligible students will receive half tuition scholarships plus money toward educational expenses. Students will participate in quarterly professional development seminars and learn about working in primary care settings and working with clients in medically vulnerable settings.

Join The Book Works for an after-school experience focused on wellness, learning, leadership, and service!

Youth (12-15 years) will enjoy healthy snacks, homework and academic support, wellness activities, leadership opportunities, and community service projects in this 11-week after-school program.

Participants will learn practical skills for managing stress, building healthy relationships, strengthening coping skills, supporting their peers, and caring for their own mental wellness. Youth will also have opportunities to use their voice, connect with community leaders, and work together on a youth-selected community service project.

This program requires registration, caregiver approval, and commitment to one of three of our after-school locations: Baxter Community Center, Southwest Regional Library, or Portland Library. Please click the registration link to find more details about locations and times.

Learners will receive a stipend for each session attended!

Child sexual abuse is preventable—when adults are informed, empowered, and proactive. This workshop centers on Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky’s "Are They Good for Your Kids?" campaign, offering practical tools, resources, and knowledge to help adults protect children in their lives and communities.

Participants will learn how to recognize grooming behaviors, understand healthy sexual development in children, and take concrete steps to create safer environments.
