💦WaterStep Shoe Collection, August 8-23💦

Don’t throw out your old school shoes and summer sandals! St. Albert the Great Parish School, in conjunction with the Parish Social Concerns Committee and PREP Program, is collecting shoes for WaterStep between August 8-23.

Students should bring shoe donations to school between August 13-21. There will be several collection boxes throughout the school building. Large bags can be dropped off in the school office if your child is unable to carry them. Shoes can also be dropped off in the Gathering Space in the church during weekend Masses.

Gently-used shoes of ANY kind, including cleats, high heels, tennis shoes, sandals, and boots, will be accepted! 👟👠👢👡

WaterStep is a nonprofit organization that provides safe water, sanitation, and health education to communities in developing countries. They use the profits from selling donated shoes to provide water treatment facilities where desperately needed throughout the world. Tonight (Thursday) we had several teams practicing. 3rd & 4th grade football, 5th & 6th Boys Football, 7th & 8th Grade Girls Flag Football Team. Everyone was engaged in practice and working together as a team. Go Vikings! Fr Chris

BLESSING OF BACKPACKS THIS WEEKEND! AUGUST 8 & 9
We invite all students—of every age—to bring their school bag or backpack for a back to school blessing. Each student will also receive a special St. Albert backpack tag. Let’s start the school year with God’s blessing!
