BOOK IT! Summer of Stories is back for another fun-filled, nostalgic summer of reading adventures and pizza prizes!
Our summer program officially begins TODAY, June 1 and runs through August 31 for children in PreKโ6th grade nationwide.
โจ The first official reward claim period opens July 1!
Parents, here are a few important reminders:
๐
Reading days must be marked on the calendar inside the BOOK IT! App. If you miss a day, youโre able to go back up to 7 days.
๐ Children must read at least 15 days within the month, and parents must track those reading days in the app calendar to qualify for their pizza reward.
If you experience any issues, please contact us before the end of the month using the Contact Support page located in the app menu or on our website so we can assist you in time.
Stay tuned all summer long for updates, reading inspiration, activities, and important program information as we continue spreading the joy of reading!

Congrats to Ms. Bowling for being nominated and winning $100 from Oriental Trading Company 3rd Annual Floโs PTA Teacher Appreciation Contest.
Ms. Bowling is the kind of teacher every school hopes to have. Now in her third year at Greathouse, she brings over 20 years of experience in education.
Ms. Bowling is a strong, dedicated educator who cares deeply about her students. She creates a classroom where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. Her commitment goes far beyond academics. She builds a true sense of community within her classroom, where relationships matter and every child feels like they belong. From her special handshakes to secret hand signals, itโs no surprise that her students love coming to school, and her families consistently share how much they appreciate her care and communication.
Outside the classroom, Sarah goes above and beyond for our school. She has led the creation of a pollination garden, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities while beautifying our campus. She volunteers for countless school events, always willing to step up and support wherever needed. No matter the situation, she shows up with a positive attitude and a smile that lifts those around her.
Ms. Bowling embodies everything you would want in a teacher. She has experience, passion, dedication, and heart. Greathouse is better because of her.

We are proud to share that Greathouse finished the school year with the highest attendance rate of any elementary school in JCPS at 96.45%!
This achievement is especially meaningful because we are a full-car-rider school. Every day, our families commit to getting students to school on time and ready to learn, and that dedication makes a difference.
Thank you to our students, families, teachers, and staff for making attendance a priority. Together, we continue our tradition of excellence through Academics, Leadership, and Character.
