𝓦𝓮𝓵𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓬𝓪𝓶𝓹𝓾𝓼, 𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓼 𝓸𝓯 2028! ♥️

Today we officially welcomed the 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟖 to campus!

After completing their foundational DNP coursework, this cohort begins an exciting new chapter focused on nurse anesthesia education, hands-on learning, professional growth, and preparation for clinical practice.

We are so proud to welcome this group of future nurse anesthetists to campus and look forward to supporting them as they continue their journey.

This weekend, our 𝐍𝐀𝐑-𝟐𝐬 took part in our second annual 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 & 𝐏𝐎𝐂𝐔𝐒 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 hosted by .

This two-day, cadaver-based experience focused on 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐬 and 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, giving students the opportunity to bring their learning to life through hands-on application.

We’re incredibly grateful for the Maverick team’s continued partnership in making this experience possible.

Our 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒅-𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒏𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 participated in 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

During the event, they showcased their doctoral project work, highlighting their commitment to evidence-based practice, clinical innovation, and improving patient outcomes in anesthesia care.

It was a great opportunity to recognize the depth of their scholarly work and the impact they are already making as future CRNAs. We’re proud of the dedication and professionalism they continue to demonstrate as they move toward graduation.

𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝑩𝒆𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 🌎

We are incredibly proud of third-year nurse anesthesia resident 𝑲𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆, who is currently serving on a medical mission trip in Honduras.

Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, Kirsten is helping provide safe anesthesia care to patients who would otherwise have limited or no access to life-changing surgical procedures.

Her work reflects the values we strive to instill in our students — clinical excellence, servant leadership, global awareness, and a commitment to caring for the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

𝐂𝐑𝐍𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐥 🏛️👩🏻‍⚖️

Our 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅-𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑵𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒂 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 had an incredible day in Frankfort, connecting with legislators and showcasing the critical role CRNAs play in patient care.

Residents demonstrated airway management skills on task trainers — inviting both 𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 and the 𝑲𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑷𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆 to get hands-on and try intubation themselves.😉

Advocacy, education, and leadership are essential components of nurse anesthesia practice, and our residents showed up ready for all three. 👍🏼👏🏼
