Newburg Middle School JCPS

Newburg's Fundraiser is taking place now through September 11th. Your child was sent home with a packet last Friday. If you haven't seen it, please ask about it. Thank you for supporting Newburg Middle School.

Registration takes place this week. Here is the schedule:
Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 12 to 5 PM is 6th Grade Registration.
Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 12 to 5 PM is 7th and 8th Grade Registration.
Registration will take place in the gym. Please bring your completed packet along with proof of address (a July or August utility bill (LG&E or Louisville Water), a copy of your lease (a month-to-month lease is not acceptable), a government check. If you do not have a packet, we have extras at the school.

FOOTBALL PRACTICE:
The practice schedule for the remainder of the week is Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-6 pm. Bring helmet, cleats and athletic shoes all practices, bring shoulder pads starting Wednesday.

ATTENTION FOOTBALL PLAYERS: We will practice today from 4 to 6 PM. Please bring your cleats, athletic shoes and helmets.

Due to heat concerns, we will be practicing in the gym today from 4-6 PM, helmets and gym shoes only (no cleats or shoulder pads) today.

We will have practice today, Friday and Saturday from 4 to 6 PM. Players, please wear athletic shoes and bring your cleats.
REMEMBER, you must have turned in proof of your sports physical and paid the $20 insurance fee in order to participate in practice.

FRYSC 1st Neighborhood Place Back-to-School Fest 2015 will be held Saturday, August 1st from 10 AM to 1 PM at Thomas Jefferson Middle School (1501 Rangeland Road)
• Sports Physicals for $20 (cash only)
• Free lunches for kids (must be 18 or under)
• School Supplies – must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Community Resource Fair – health insurance, diabetes and blood pressure checks, YMCA program, voters registration, library and more
• Lots of music and fun!

If you live in Newburg Middle School's resides, you should have received either a 6th, 7th, or 8th Grade Registration Packet in the mail. Please complete the packet ahead of time and bring it to the in-school Registration which will be held on the following dates:

Wednesday, July 29th, 12 to 5 PM ~ Registration for 6th Grade only
Thursday, July 30th, 12 to 5 PM ~ Registration for 7th & 8th Grade only

Please read the instructions and complete the forms prior to your arrival. You must bring proof of address. The acceptable documents to show proof of address are:
* Lease
* Mortgage
* Utility Bill (Gas/Electric & Water only) dated July, 2015

How is your reading coming? Remember, Newburg Middle School is in a Book Battle with TJ Middle School to see who can read the most books over the summer. All forms can be picked up at your local public library! When you turn in your Teen Summer Reading form, make sure to ask for the books to count for the Book Battle!
