Celebrating Rock Creek

It is with a heavy heart that we share that Bill McKinley, former Superintendent for Christian Academy, went home to be with the Lord early this morning.

Words can only begin to express what Mr. McKinley meant to many of us by the way he served in different ways. He served as our system visionary, as a kind and compassionate leader, a mentor, mission trip coordinator, substitute teacher, the biggest cheerleader for our students and so much more!

We are comforted to know that he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior today! Please keep his family in your prayers.

Yesterday our English Station elementary classes wore their "Better Together" t-shirts for the first day! Can you spot any of our Rock Creek students!?

We certainly believe we are better together and are so blessed to be at school in-person! It's going to be a great year! 💙

Today our faculty and staff from our Louisville campuses met together for our annual communion service. See if you can spot any of our former Rock Creek teachers in the crowd!

As uncertainty still remains and fears start to build, we remember God's goodness and peace in our lives. We are so thankful for this time to prepare our hearts and minds for the upcoming school year!

To help our Rock Creek students make the transition to English Station, we have a new student playtime and popsicles at the playground! We are so excited to welcome them to English Station and for school to start! ❤️

Today we celebrate the freedom we have to serve our God and to live in the greatest nation! Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸💙

As we look toward the upcoming school year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on beginnings of our school system. After diligent prayer and hard work, our Rock Creek campus opened in August 1978 with 326 students. For 42 years this campus blessed thousands of students, teachers, staff and families! This fall, our campus will consolidate with our other three campuses where we now serve almost 3,000 students! It is only through God that this has been possible!

You may notice a few new changes! Our Rock Creek page is now called Celebrating Rock Creek Campus! Share memories, photos and stories to this page! ❤️

We continue to celebrate the legacy of Rock Creek, where our system began!

Happy Father's Day! 💙 Today we are especially thankful for our fathers, grandfathers and moale role models in our lives! Our families and schools are better because of your guidance, wisdom and love!

Today we also give thanks to our Heavenly Father! May your day be filled with His love and grace!

Today we celebrate emancipation from slavery and we recognize individual equality, equal justice and God's love for all.

One of our favorite traditions is our 5th grade walkout! This year was even more special as it was the last class to walkout from the campus! ❤️

Each year our teachers sing a blessing over the students and this year we chose a send-off song titled "As You Go."

"As we go may Your Spirit go before us
As we go may we follow where You lead
May we live what we have learned
Share the message we have heard
And be a light unto the world as we go."

As our families go toward new adventures, we pray the Spirit guides their journeys!

During the last week of school, our 5th graders had a retreat on campus! They talked about friendship, online etiquette, goal setting and most importantly, keeping Christ first! We know these students have big things ahead of them in middle school! ❤️
