We restarted our city explorer program the Society of Urban Perambulators with a stroll through the Limerick neighborhood.

Excited to have the Cardinal Stadium Seat Bus Stop prototype in at Douglass Loop! Councilman Coan and I worked with TARC, Public Works, civic-minded friends and RockerBuilt to get this started. We have plans for 16 more along Bardstown Road adding more seating for transit riders while reusing seats that would have ended up in a landfill. We are looking for sponsors for the seats at $850 each set, which is less than half what the standard bus stop bench costs. Looking to inject some new energy into the corridor and use this project as just the beginning to the Urban Design Studio’s placemaking efforts through UofL. Contact me if you want to get involved, sponsor seats or just talk placemaking and urbanism!
