Few things are more encouraging than learning from men whose love for Christ overflows into their teaching. Dr. Jason DeRouchie shares his passion for helping students—especially future pastors—see that the Old Testament is ultimately about the glory of Christ. His conviction is that faithful ministry begins with faithfully seeing and proclaiming Jesus from all of Scripture.

This is exactly the kind of man we want shaping and training the next generation of pastors.

We're grateful to have Dr. DeRouchie investing in the men of Sovereign Grace Pastors College, equipping them to preach Christ faithfully and shepherd God's people well.

Dr. Jason DeRouchie tells the story of a seminary professor who changed the way he read the Bible by showing him how every page of the Old Testament ultimately exalts Christ.

That moment stirred a lifelong love for the Old Testament and a deeper awe for Jesus throughout all of Scripture.

When you see Christ in all the Scriptures, you can never read the Bible the same way again.

This week at the Sovereign Grace Pastors College, we had the privilege of welcoming 97 pastors from across the country, who joined our students for Jeff Purswell’s class on the Pastoral Epistles.

As we walked through Paul’s letters to Timothy and Titus, all were freshly encouraged in the call to preach the Word, care for the flock, and lead with humility and conviction.

We are grateful for every pastor who joined us—your presence has made this week especially rich. We’re thankful for the opportunity to serve those who are serving the church.

“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season…” (2 Timothy 4:2)
