The Butch Mosby Chess Classic takes place on National Chess Day, October 11, Saturday at Roots-101 Museum, Louisville KY. It is a blitz and a bughouse tournament. The first place bughouse team wins 600 dollars! The second place team wins 400 dollars. The team entry fee is seven dollars. Pre-register at [email protected]

Another great Black History month takes place tonight and tomorrow....Tonight, Friday, 6 pm, Epping District, there is the meet and greet dinner featuring Rochelle Ballantyne, a FIDE Chess master candidate. Tomorrow, Saturday, there i s the Dr. John Marshall Chess Club , 1030 am registration time, at Roots 101 Museum. Please Google to secure their address and directions to their location (near the YUM Center). It will be a bughouse competition and a chess puzzle competition, two on a team and the team entry fee is ten dollars.
