Though last week may have been International Dot Day, it's always a great time to share our appreciation for the beloved Polka Dot! You’ll see the literary inspiration from The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, and the many colorful interpretations from young artists across Treehouse Learning, who all grasped the point of making their mark and celebrating their creativity through collaboration.

It's Apple time of year! Our Meadow Kindergarten artists were inspired by Paul Cézanne's apple still lifes! Using recycled wallpaper, paint, paper, and glue, the children created their own colorful apple arrangements, practicing painting, shading, lines, and dots along the way! Meanwhile, our Forest Pre-K artists had fun creating these bold apple still lifes using acrylic paint, paper, and glue. What an ode to a tasty fall fruit!

We love getting to partner with 2 local farms, Hoedown Farm, and Ollin Farm, who provides bundles of fresh veggies for students to taste and families and staff to take home. Every week we have something new on our harvest table!

We're back to school, but are you finding that public school kindergarten is suddenly not a good fit for your child or family? We still have space this year in our independent kindergarten at Treehouse Learning! Kindergarten at an early childhood education setting offers small class sizes, low ratios, and a whole-child approach to support physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development in a rich, arts-based setting. Our program is ideal for students planning to move on to first grade next year, or who would benefit from an additional year of kindergarten. We also offer UPK for eligible students! It's hard to find color (or joy) in a drought. But when the grass at Treehouse Learning has turned brown, we find other ways to create our own bright and cheery landscapes. Inspired by the creative arts & design studio Poetic Kinetics, we engaged our preschool and summer camp children to help create some colorful installations around the playgrounds.
