🎭 What an AMAZING week we had at LPAS!🎉

Our field trips to the Kentucky Center for the Arts were a HUGE hit! The students absolutely loved the performances – from start to finish, they were captivated and inspired. 🎶✨

But that’s not all! Our 4th and 5th graders had a blast with another round of Bulldog Clubs. 🐾 The energy and excitement were through the roof, and it was fantastic to see our students engage, learn, and have fun together.

And of course, we can't forget the incredible effort put in by our students during the MAP test! 💪📊 We celebrated so much growth and are so proud of all their hard work and determination. 🙌

Today was Arts Day! What a fantastic day for our students! They got to see how people use the arts in their everyday lives by going to short music, drama, dance, and visual art sessions led by talented members of our community. Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who made this day special for our LPAS students! ☀️🎨🎭🎶🎤🎸🎻🎺🥁🖌️🕺🏾🩰

LPAS Field Day T-Shirt Design Contest due Thursday March 27th, 2025.

All original or digital artwork be must be completed in 1 color only, on an 8 1/2 x 11-inch plain white sheet of paper.

Student’s name and teacher should be listed on the BACK of the design. Artwork cannot be used if licensed characters are used or if art is submitted on lines or colored paper.

LPAS Staff will choose finalists from the designs turned in on March 27th. Students will have a chance to vote for their favorite shirt design once finalists have been announced.

The theme of the artwork should represent LPAS or what LPAS means to you.

We can’t wait to see all of entries!

All students and staff will receive a student designed t-shirt for Field Day. Each grade will have a shirt printed on a different color.

🎉 Exciting Weekend Alert! 🎉

This weekend, the LPAS Step Team took the stage at the Ambo Dance Theatre, and WOW did they deliver an incredible performance! 💥👏 Our talented students brought their A-game and made us SO proud!

A huge shoutout to the amazing coaches and families who made this experience possible for these fantastic young performers. Your dedication and support mean the world to our team. 🙌💙

🏀 What an amazing time with our LPAS Basketball Players, Cheerleaders, Coaches, Mrs. Hunt, and families at the UL Basketball game! 🏀🎉

They cheered, celebrated, and made memories together in true LPAS spirit! Huge thanks to everyone for making this day so special.

We are beyond excited to announce that we took home 1st Place in the Mayor's Cup 🏆 and finished 2nd Place overall for the season! 🙌💪

But wait—there's more! We had several of our incredibly talented students WIN individual medals for their written assessments! 🥇✍️ Their hard work, dedication, and brilliance really shone through!

🌟 LPAS Families, What a Week! 🌟

This week at LPAS, we’ve been focusing on spreading kindness and making sure everyone feels like they truly belong. In Ms. Jamie's room, they dove into the power of kindness and its lasting impact. Our students reflected on times when someone’s simple act of kindness made a difference in their lives, even if the giver never knew how much it meant. The students chose a staff member who made a positive impact and wrote them a special letter of "sunshine mail." After delivering their letters, they reflected on the joy of giving kindness to others. It was heartwarming to see their faces light up as they made someone’s day just a little bit brighter. 🌞

We also discussed the importance of affirmations, using kind words, and the tools of conflict resolution—because kindness isn’t just about what we say, it’s also about how we act! 🙌

To wrap up an incredible week, we had visits from our 3rd grade families and another Watch Dog. We cheered on our Academic Team as they prepare for the Mayor’s Cup and kicked off Bulldog Clubs for our 4th and 5th graders. From Legos and coding to drums, lacrosse, golf, and so much more—our students were absolutely buzzing with excitement! 🧩⚽🎸

🌟🐸 Frog Fest Success! 🐸🌟

We are bursting with pride for our AMAZING 3rd graders and their incredible teachers! 🎉 Frog Fest was a HUGE success, and it was the perfect showcase of all the growth, hard work, and knowledge our students have gained this year. 🧠✨

A big THANK YOU to all the families who joined us to celebrate the students' learning – your support means the world! 💚 We loved seeing the smiles, hearing the excitement, and celebrating together. It’s moments like these that remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful school community. Please share any photos you captured today!

Our 5th graders are so close to meeting their end-of-year field trip fundraising goal. Our last big fundraiser will be at Raising Cane's on Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands. A portion of all sales will benefit our students. Please consider getting dinner there on Thursday night from 3-10:00. Make sure to mention Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School.

Sunday Spotlight Important Dates and Information

We had FIVE full days of excitement, learning, and fun! Our students did a fantastic job taking care of their teeth (we're brushing up on our health skills 😉) and dove into some serious math magic — from making ones and tens to comparing place value positions, and analyzing our work on assessments! 🧮💡 Everyone worked hard, both independently and in group lessons, and it showed!

In STEAM, students tested different types of columns (triangle, square, and circular) to find the strongest. Drumroll, please... the circular column came out on top every time! 🏗️🔬And check out our fencing team practicing!

We also had some wonderful extras this week: 🎶 Lunchtime music with Sheryl Rose Band, a special guest author, Justin Campbell. Mr. Campbell shared stories about perseverance and sportsmanship on the field 🏈. We celebrated Unity Day, and had our first Glow Show showcasing our talented Visual Art students talents, and to top it all off, a PTA Sweetest Dance that was simply spectacular! 💃🕺

What a week of learning, creativity, and fun! Here’s to many more! 🌟
