School year 25 - 26 in the books! Best staff ever! Happy Retirement to Shawn Purlee!

Today we said goodbye to a true Dixie legend, Mr. Purlee. 💙🐉

For years, he has led Dixie Elementary with heart, humor, dedication, and a whole lot of love for our students and staff. To celebrate his last day as principal, we sent him off the best way we knew how… a special walkthrough with a few dressed
as “Mr. Purlee” — bald heads and all! 🦲😄

There were smiles, laughs, hugs, and definitely a few tears as we honored someone who has made such a lasting impact on our Dragon family. While the shiny bald heads gave us all a good laugh, today truly reminded us how lucky we have been to work beside such an incredible leader.

Mr. Purlee, thank you for every high five, every encouraging word, every smile in the hallway, and every way you helped make Dixie feel like home. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of our students, staff, and families for years to come. Enjoy your retirement!

What an incredible year it has been! We have loved every minute of helping our students grow into readers, writers, mathematicians, leaders, and most importantly, kind and caring humans. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your smiles, laughter, hard work, and love with us each and every day. We are so proud of our Dragons and all they have accomplished this school year!

Have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in August for another amazing year!

What a GREAT day our 5th graders had on Thursday! ☀️🎉

The fun started with a walk to Sun Valley where students enjoyed time together making memories and having fun. After returning to school, the celebration continued with a cookout and a special visit from the PRP Fire Department 🚒💦 who helped cool everyone off with an awesome water spray that the kids absolutely loved!

It was a day filled with laughter, smiles, friendship, and unforgettable memories as we celebrate our amazing 5th graders! ❤️

Congratulations to our Kindergarten and 5th grade students on their promotion! 🎉 What a wonderful night celebrating our amazing kiddos as they prepare for their next educational journey. From our youngest learners moving on to 1st grade to our 5th graders getting ready for middle school, we could not be more proud of each and every one of you. Keep dreaming big, working hard, and believing in yourselves. The future is bright!❤️💙

What an amazing day filled with fun, laughter, games, treats, and crafts! Our students had an unforgettable time celebrating together.
A huge shoutout to DonorsChoose, Valley Dairy Freeze, and the Dixie PTA for sponsoring our incredible Field Day. From the dunking booth to snow cones, relays, leis, beach balls, pool noodles, popcorn, water, sand art, shell painting, and all the decorations — none of this would have been possible without the generosity and support of groups like you. Thank you for helping make memories our Dragons will never forget! 🐉🏖️💙

Today 5th grade wrapped it all up with ice cream floats for our “Floating By KSA” celebration!

We are so proud of our students for their effort, perseverance, and positive attitudes throughout testing. Way to go, Dragons! ✨
