Shawnee High School graduates and Flight Club 502 maintenance interns Cameron Sloss and John Lindsay spent today working alongside Dave Birgmann and his team on a pre-buy inspection, gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning new tools of the trade.

A huge thank you to Dave and his team for investing their time and knowledge into the next generation. We’re so proud of Cam and John and all they continue to accomplish at Flight Club 502!

What a summer! ☀️✈️

Last week, our camp counselors got together for dinner to celebrate the close of another successful camp season!

A big thank you to Will DeHart, Amelia Hammond, Tanisha Pancholi, Thomas Elliott, and Munir Abraham for leading our Summer Camps and Fridays at Flight Club this summer. As former Flight Club 502 members themselves, it was incredible to see them return to mentor and inspire the next generation of aviators.

Together, they welcomed 192 campers, hosted 9 Summer Camps for ages 8-12, and 7 Fridays at Flight Club programs for ages 13-18.

Thank you for your hard work, leadership, and dedication. We can’t wait to do it all again next summer. Until then, blue skies! ✈️

Congratulations to Zack Whitaker on passing his Private Pilot checkride! ✈️

Check out this awesome story. Zack and his CFI, Grant Guthrie, have been best friends for over 10 years and first started flight training together back in 2022. After Zack headed off to college in Dallas, his training was put on pause for a couple of years. Once Grant earned his CFI, they picked up right where they left off, and Grant was able to help his best friend earn his pilot certificate.

Congratulations, Zack, and congratulations to CFI Grant Guthrie on an unforgettable full-circle moment. Blue skies! ✈️
