Flight Club 502

Flight Club 502 Flight Club 502 is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) for teens ages 13-21.

Founded in 2015, our mission is to teach young people STEM education, leadership and decision-making, entrepreneurship, and patriotism through exposure to all facets of aviation. Flight Club 502 Office Staff:

Yesterday was a big day at Flight Club 502!

We started by welcoming 8 new members to FC502, followed by a Member Mingle led by our Youth Officers to help our newest members get to know the club and our current members. We wrapped up the day with our final Field Day of the year, complete with games and a cookout! A big thank you to volunteer Ron Hazuda for stepping in last minute to grill for us.

A pretty incredible Friday field trip! Our Academy @ Shawnee aviation students, staff, and a few Flight Club 502 members headed to SDF for a special look at Joby Aviation’s J208 as part of the Electric Skies tour.

We had the opportunity to see the aircraft up close and learn more about Joby’s autonomy technology and the future of aviation.

A huge thank you to Joby Aviation, Darrell Watson, and the entire Louisville Regional Airport Authority team for inviting us and giving our students this special opportunity!
