Pictures from our Tree Pilgrimage around campus, inspired by Wendell Berry, the great poet and Kentucky native, Thomas Merton, and St. Francis of Assisi.
We walked among the trees on campus, taking time to notice them, get to know them, and reflect on their place in God’s creation.
Trees are more than part of the landscape. If we slow down and pay attention, they can become our teachers—teaching us about rootedness, patience, interconnectedness, beauty, and our responsibility to care for creation.
A beautiful way to walk, notice, reflect, and give thanks.
“Praised be You, my Lord, through our Sister Mother Earth.” — St. Francis of Assisi
