History lives in the places we share.

Join the Department of History for a celebration of Gottschalk Hall and the launch of the University of Louisville's new bachelor of arts in public history. Once the Black girls' dormitory of the Industrial School of Reform, Gottschalk Hall holds a past that continues to shape how we understand our community.

Alumni and anyone interested in public history are invited to join us and learn how the field connects communities, preserves the past and creates career pathways for students.
