Meet the 5th–6th Grade Team!

We’re so excited for our 5th–6th graders to learn and grow with this incredible team of teachers! Mr. Zach Garlitz brings his passion for Social Studies, Ms. Michelle Jones brings energy and expertise to Science, and Mr. Chris Kaufman helps students build confidence and skills in Math. Rounding out the team, Ms. Rachel Yan brings her enthusiasm and expertise to Language Arts.

Together, they bring a wonderful mix of knowledge, creativity, and care to the classroom—and we can’t wait to see all they accomplish with our students this year!

🎨 The Class of 2027 is officially leaving its mark!

Today our seniors traded parking spaces for blank canvases, transforming the student lot into a colorful celebration of their personalities, passions, and creativity. We can't wait to see these works of art greet everyone each morning throughout the school year.

Congratulations to Walden senior Journey Sanders! 👏

Journey is representing our community in Washington, D.C., where she's participating in an ACLU advocacy conference and learning firsthand about the legislative process. She volunteered to deliver a speech on immigration, sharing her perspective with several Kentucky senators and state representatives.

It's inspiring to see the confidence, critical thinking, and leadership Journey has developed through KUNA (Kentucky United Nations Assembly) translate into real-world civic engagement at the national level.
