We could not be more grateful for this weekend, our students, our staff and our dance families. You are our reason - why we do what we do, why our hearts are overflowing with love, and why we couldn't ask for a better community. Dancers, we are blown away by your hard work and the passion for movement that was so clear on stage. Staff, we could not do this without you. The energy and love you pour into our students is a huge part of what makes this community so wonderful. Dance families, thank you for trusting us with your gifts of humans, and for your love and support. This 69th year was truly something special - thank you all from the deepest depths of our hearts 💕

Today we celebrate Anna Claire Humphrey! Anna Claire is graduating from Eastern High School and will attend Oklahoma City University in the fall, to pursue a major in Dance!

“My favorite dances to perform were Five Guys Named Moe, We are Family, Enough, and Turn the Beat Around. Some of my favorite memories are having the holiday parties and back to school parties each year, going to convention, and of course recital week and getting to perform at all the shows. I will definitely miss so much about JoAnn’s but I will miss the community and friendships with classmates/teachers I have developed over my time here the most.”

Today we celebrate Lauren Pappalardo! Lauren is graduating from Sacred Heart and will attend Bellarmine University in the fall, to pursue Political Science.

“My favorite dance to watch was “She” and my favorite ones that I performed are “Brother”, Dont Sit Under The Apple Tree”, “Mom”, and “Too Darn Hot”. Some of my favorite memories are participating in the student choreography showcase, going to conventions, when my class surprised me with balloons and leg warmers for my birthday during tap class, and teaching, especially with Annie this year. I’m going to miss all of my incredible dance teachers, spending time with my friends, and the overall community that exists at the dance studio.”

We are going virtual on Saturday, 2/5/2022. With below zero wind chills predicted, which means flash freezing of the slush and ponding water, it’s not safe to navigate the parking lot. Join us on Zoom!!

Due to amount of ice on the road from Shelbyville back to the studio, and slippery parking lot conditions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel classes for today 1/29. We will have plenty of makeup options available for next week! Stay warm and stay safe! ☃️❄️
