🗓️ Fall Office Hours are back at the Alliance Française de Louisville!

Throughout our fall session, the AFL office will be open on Saturdays from 9 AM–1 PM. Stop by to say bonjour, learn more about AFL, ask questions, or connect with our community!

Interested in volunteering for Saturday office hours? We’d love to have you! Volunteers must be current AFL members and can sign up for as many or as few Saturdays as their schedule allows. Even volunteering for just one Saturday is a great way to get involved.
Email:[email protected] to let us know you’re interested.

⚜️ Give for Good Louisville is still on! ⚜️ Our AFL community is showing up! We’re at 50% or our goal! Can we make it 100%?

Did you know that it costs AFL around $100 to host a P’tit Déj Conversation Group and Speaker Series each month? A donation of $50 would help cover one of those events while keeping these cherished traditions free for our members!

Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 3:00–4:30 PM for a Speaker Series event with Ben Robinson, the General Director and CEO of the Kentucky Opera.

In this presentation, Ben Robinson explores why opera remains one of the most powerful and relevant art forms, arguing that its future depends on innovation grounded in artistic excellence. Drawing on his leadership of Kentucky Opera, he will discuss how modern opera companies must serve as cultural and civic institutions that engage communities year-round through partnerships, education, and meaningful public programming. He will share Kentucky Opera’s vision for the future, including site-specific productions, interdisciplinary collaborations, and initiatives that connect opera with history, science, education, and community life.

The presentation also examines opera’s remarkable French heritage, from the court of Louis XIV to composers such as Lully, Rameau, Berlioz, Bizet, Massenet, Ravel, and Debussy, whose innovations transformed the art form.

The presentation will be in English, with time for questions and discussion.

Early Giving starts TODAY! 🇫🇷

Give for Good Louisville is officially underway, and we’re asking our community to help us keep Louisville French!

When you support the Alliance Française de Louisville, you’re investing in French language education and creating opportunities for people of all ages to experience French and Francophone cultures right here in our community.

Your generosity helps us support talented instructors, expand access to French classes, offer scholarships, strengthen our cultural programming, and bring more opportunities to connect en français to Louisville.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps AFL continue growing as a place where language, culture, and community come together.

And this year, we have a BIG goal: 100 donors! Whether you give $10, $25, $100, or more, you’ll help us get one step closer.

Early Giving is open NOW, and the BIG DAY of Give for Good Louisville is Thursday, September 10!

Early Giving starts TOMORROW, September 7th!

AFL is participating in Give for Good Louisville, and this year, we have a big goal: 100 donors supporting our mission!

Every gift, no matter the amount, helps us strengthen French-language education, invest in quality instructors, expand our cultural programming, and create more opportunities to experience French and Francophone cultures right here in Louisville.

Tomorrow, we’ll share the official link to AFL’s Give for Good page so you can help us get one donor closer to 100 donors!

Early Giving begins September 7th, and the BIG DAY is September 10th. Can we reach 100 donors? We think oui!
