We’re growing our AFL team and community, and we have both paid and volunteer opportunities available!

📚 We’re hiring French instructors!
We’re looking for experienced, native or near-native French speakers to teach private lessons and group classes. Applicants must have the ability to work in the United States, as AFL is unable to sponsor visas.

❤️ We’re looking for a Saturday volunteer!
We’re seeking an AFL member to help cover our Saturday office hours from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM. You’ll greet students and members, answer calls, and be a warm and welcoming representative of AFL. Every Saturday is not required, and multiple volunteers will be accepted! If you can grab a Saturday, please let us know!

Whether you’d like to share your passion for teaching French or give some of your time to our community, we’d love to hear from you!

📖 Love reading en français? Join AFL Board Members Victoria Boggs and Megan Scott this fall for our French Book Club!

We’ll be reading engaging French readers by France Dubin, perfect for pre-intermediate (A2) learners looking to build confidence through reading and conversation.

The Book Club meets at The Wine Room on Frankfort Avenue and is free for AFL members. Students must purchase their own books. Space is limited, so reserve your spot for one, two, or all three sessions today. We hope you’ll join us for great books, great conversation, and a glass of wine!

🇫🇷 🍽️ Join the Alliance Française de Louisville for our Annual Dinner 2026! Celebrate an evening celebrating French language, Francophone culture, and the vibrant community that makes AFL special.

Gather with fellow students, members, instructors, staff, and friends on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM at the beautiful House of Marigold for a memorable evening of connection, conversation, and celebration.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully prepared three-course dinner featuring seasonal ingredients, a choice of entrée, and an elegant dining experience surrounded by fellow lovers of French culture.

The evening will also include a special presentation in both French and English, highlighting the impact and achievements of the Alliance Française de Louisville. A cash bar will be available, as well as the opportunity to participate in a raffle.

Whether you’re a longtime member, a current student, a friend of AFL, or simply passionate about French language and culture, we invite you to join us for a night celebrating everything that makes our organization unique.
