June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month 💜🧠✨

Memories Matter!!! Our chapter stands with those living with the disease, their caregivers, and the families whose lives have been touched by it. Through our philanthropy —— we are proud to support Alzheimer’s awareness, research, and advocacy efforts that help bring hope to those affected.

Addie is a sophomore from NMC 25!!! Her favorite things about being in Sigma Kappa are Big/Little, sisterhood events, and really enjoys socials.

“I chose to join Greek life because I wanted to be apart of something bigger than myself and make lifelong friendships! The recruitment process was rough for me at first but, it led me home and I would do it all over again to find my sisters”.

“I chose to join Greek life because I was looking for a supportive community on campus. I joined through COB in the spring, which was fortunately a very simple process and a gratifying experience. The women in SK are completely authentic and I was able to make meaningful connections right away. One of my favorite memories was being Song Chair for Fryberger. It was so much fun getting everyone involved, working together, and witnessing all of our hard work create something I can be proud of. I can’t wait for next year!!”

Featuring Addison Shuster!! She is a rising sophomore from NMC ‘25. See what she has to say about her experience deciding to go Greek.

“My roommate had convinced me to go to popsicles for Panhellenic and Grilling With The Greeks which is where I fell in love with SK. I signed up for recruitment when I went to Popsicles for Pan, still not even knowing if it was for me… During recruitment was when I realized that even if I didn’t get into a house I wanted, the process was so fun to go through. I got to spend my days talking to people who could potentially be my future sisters and I loved every second of that. I met so many wonderful ladies and had such interesting conversations. Opening my card on Bid Day gave me such an amazing feeling that I didn’t even know I’d get considering I was so “late” to the process. Everyone in SK welcomed me with open arms and I couldn’t be happier to have found my family away from home”.

“I don’t even know if I could choose one favorite thing about being an SK. Becoming closer with my PC has been such a fun process. Also, doing spring COB and now getting to work side by side with our VPR is something I’m so excited about. I also ended up doing all of the intramural sports that were offered and I grew so many friendships through that! However, I think that Big Little was one of my favorite memories so far. I got to form a bond with a stranger and now we’re closer than ever and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to mentor me through everything. Shoutout Emma I love you!!!”
