What an unforgettable celebration of excellence, perseverance, and brotherhood at the W.E.B. DuBOIS Academy Class of 2026 Graduation!
A special thank you to the The Courier Journal for capturing this historic moment as we celebrated our second graduating class.
Thank you to Ms. Chinn, Assistant Principal of our graduates, for your unwavering leadership and support throughout this journey. Thank you to Ms. Puryear, counselor to our graduates, for pouring into our young men academically, socially, and emotionally.
Thank you to Coach Farmer for presenting our annual Empowerment Awards and celebrating the excellence of our students. Congratulations to Quantanna Sanders, Rajon Rondo, and Jahi Peak for earning this year’s Empowerment Awards!
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. John Marshall, Chief Equity Officer, for serving as our keynote speaker and inspiring our graduates to continue walking boldly in purpose and excellence.
Thank you to Dr. Hunter-Kirby for leading the charge and continuously pushing the vision forward for our young men. Your willingness to pour into our young men through education, mentorship, wellness strategies, healing conversations, and empowerment made a lasting impact. Because of your presence, our students were exposed to meaningful discussions surrounding mental health, self-awareness, grief, hygiene, mindfulness, advocacy, healthy relationships, community violence prevention, and so much more.
