Back at it for 2026-27.

"I'll be the one with the pink hat."

That's how Kristen Mackin told me I'd find her this Saturday. Pink was her son Kyler's favorite color. He would have turned 15 this year.

Instead, this weekend, Kristen will walk into the Kentucky Science Center to watch her son's life unfold on a screen- 499 days of fighting a brain cancer that gave him almost no chance from the moment he was diagnosed. She recorded those days not knowing, at the time, that she was building something. A film. A gift. A way for Kyler to keep living, even after he couldn't anymore.

DIPG has touched families across this state- including right here in Louisville. This isn't a distant headline. This is a Louisville mom, hoping a room full of strangers will show up for her boy.

As of this week, only a portion of the seats were claimed.

Gilda's Club, Kids Cancer Alliance, and Courageous Kids will be there too- because no family should have to walk this road feeling as alone as Kyler's once did.

HS Summer League 2026 | L4 Lacrosse The L4 Lacrosse Summer League begins Sunday, July 12th and runs for five weeks. This league provides high school players with an opportunity to continue competing during the offseason in a fun, competitive, and safe environment.
