🌿 A huge thank you to Samtec Cares for helping make Camp Odyssey at Shawnee Park possible!

Because of your generous support, children are spending the week hiking, gardening, creating nature-inspired art, discovering insects, playing educational games, practicing mindfulness, enjoying imaginative and free play, making healthy snacks, and building lasting friendships.

Together, we're helping young people develop confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong connection to the natural world. Thank you for investing in our community and the next generation! πŸ’šπŸŒŽ

June was filled with meaningful moments of mindfulness! πŸŒΏπŸ’š

Our Mindfulness Mentors kicked off Joe Creason Park's Mindfulness Mondays, sharing breathwork, meditation, and mindful movement with community members. We also partnered with the Norton Sports & Learning Center, helping young athletes start each day with calm, focus, and confidence through daily mindfulness practices.

We're grateful for these opportunities to connect with our community, inspire well-being, and share simple tools that support resilienceβ€”both on the field and in everyday life. ✨

🐝🌼 Happy Pollinator Week! 🌼🐝

This week, we celebrate the bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators that help our gardens, ecosystems, and food systems thrive.

You can support pollinators by planting native flowers, reducing pesticide use, and creating welcoming habitats in your own backyard.

Together, we can help protect these essential creatures and the biodiversity they support. πŸŒŽπŸ’š

This week in Camp Odyssey’s Mindfulness Class, campers explored our Web of Connection activity, discovering how we are all connected to one another, to nature, and to the world around us. πŸŒŽπŸ•ΈοΈ Through reflection and teamwork, they learned that every action can strengthen the web that connects us all.

A special thank you to the The Gheens Foundation for helping make experiences like this possible through their generous support of Camp Odyssey. πŸ’š Their investment helps children build mindfulness, compassion, and a deeper connection to the natural world.
