My husband and I got to check off a pretty cool place off our bucket list! They filmed Shawshank Redemption here in the 90s and various music videos and films since then.
Architecturally wise, this was one of the most fascinating places I’ve seen by far. The story behind it all is interesting, yet also awful to witness some of the conditions inmates had to experience.
P.S. Apparently Lil Wayne filmed a music video in the red room with the gold toilet. 😂 Glad I could witness many generations of history.

A friend sent me a photo of an old Victorian home in rural Indiana and I decided to give it another go at some spirit art to read the history and life behind this home.
I felt like the energy of this photo had mixed feelings, on one said it felt almost whimsical with nature (hence the spider and deer on the left), but on the other hand I sensed a lot of heaviness, grief, and anger.
There are some faces and eyes that came in. There was also an emphasis with jewelry for some reason. I also believe the person on the bottom right to be a corpse/person that died from traumatic purposes. (This is definitely a bit heavier than I expected but it’s a part of it’s history)
Not to mention I kept hearing the phrase “MAKE IT” repeatedly. I incorporated it into the painting as well.
The person who sent me this photo stated that back in the day, people would host funerals or viewings in these types of homes since it was in a rural space. There’s a lot of questions and mixed energies with it, but overall it feels like it used to be a heavy space. I wish we knew more about its background to confirm.
I’m curious if anyone else sees or senses anything else!

A couple of months ago I took a spirit art class and it was my first time blending mediumship and art. And I have to say, I blew myself away with the result vs the reveal!
We were shown a picture of a random brick building without any additional information. No signage. No location ideas. Just the photo.
So off we went for 15 minutes to channel whatever it was we were picking up from the picture of the building.
Immediately I connected with an older gentleman. He was laughing hysterically while wearing a black hat and a pin striped shirt while he was also smoking a cigar. The time was very limiting so I used a lot of quick acrylic paint strokes to try to re-create what it was that I was seeing.
My thinking mind automatically wanted to assume that this man was maybe in the Italian mob or something similar to that, but I needed to push my thinking mind away and stay in the channeling state. As I continue to paint, I noticed that this person looked like that he could have been a prisoner or maybe it was trying to resemble a warden of a prison. I was satisfied with what I painted but I was eager for the reveal✨
Our instructor revealed that the building in fact used to be a prison. The story was that there was a man who was very drunk and was causing a disturbance in the town so they had arrested him for the night. He had a cigarette or a cigar in his mouth and he had accidentally fallen asleep, dropping it on the ground, and it caused a fire in the jail.
I honestly couldn’t believe how accurate I was in such a short amount of time and for doing this for the first time ever. You should have seen my face, I was floored 😂
Sometimes it still blows my mind that I can do this stuff and that it’s not just in my mind or made up. I’ve spent a lot of time dedicating myself to connecting with spirit and trying to build a deeper connection and I’m just so happy with how far I have come.
I definitely look forward to doing more spirit artwork! Sometimes in my actual reading sessions, I see such beautiful sunsets, memories, ideas, colors, and lights, etc. I always stated how much I wanted to re-create them!
I gotta get more talented with the arts now 😪😂

If you asked me years ago what I was planning for my future, becoming a metaphysical minister certainly wasn’t on my mind.
In fact, I had a lot of hesitation about it. I was raised in a catholic/christian family but I personally didn’t feel strong connections to the religious aspect of it and I didn’t always agree with the “rules” or morals that followed. It felt strange to even think about calling myself a Reverand when I consider myself more spiritual/nondenominational.
When I started this journey two years ago, there was a lot of discomfort that I needed to address and I questioned how my own beliefs, values, interests, and personality could possibly fit in this space. But what I’ve learned in the process is that (for me personally) it’s not upholding this “holier than thou” image or trying to find awakening, but it’s instead been more about coming back to my authentic self and embracing my deep fascinations and interests that I buried deep inside to portray a false self to please and appease others.
I’ve found myself happier these days because of it. Laughing more. Being more playful and child-like. Opening up my creative side again. Reviving some past interests and hobbies that I gave up years ago. Not being afraid to show my authentic self to the world.
I’ve lately found myself feeling more comfortable in my identity as a minister and I’ve been visualizing more about what that may look like for me soon. I’ve been looking forward to seeing the connections and community that it will attract and how I can start serving others in ways that align with my true purpose and beliefs.
But in these last two years, if there’s anything that I’ve learned, I’ve learned that life certainly works in mysterious ways and you never actually know where you are supposed to be until it guides you to a more curious and unfamiliar path. Trust it and let it take you to where you are supposed to be. ✨
