There’s no better way to start a new school year than together. ❤️
Our MTA families gathered for our Back-to-School BBQ—sharing good food, catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and watching the kids enjoy being together again.
A very special thank you to Mrs. Kaufman for organizing such a wonderful evening, and to the entire Kaufman family for preparing all of the delicious food. We are so grateful for the time, energy, and heart you put into bringing our community together!
And this year, our MTA family is growing. 🥳 We are thrilled to welcome five new families into our school community!

We are so proud of our "Bridgers."
Our students who have worked hard, developed, and grown.
And have now "crossed the bridge" to the next stage of their growth and development.
Our toddlers who are now emotionally mature and ready for 3 years of growth in primary.
Our children who have now entered lower elementary.
And our young adults now entering "Upper Elementary."
We are so proud of each one of you.
Rabbi Lindell unveiled next year's "Rabbi Meyers" word of the year: Belong.
Rabbi Lindell discussed what it means to belong to a group.
How the company we surround ourselves with shapes our life trajectory.
It changes how we relate to others and the world.
When a primary student enters into Lower elementary their self-expectations change.
They are now surrounded by older, wiser, more mature friends.
They belong.
And they rise to the occasion.
We are fortunate to the parent body and community that has come together around Montessori Torah Academy. As we all shared in our collective celebration last thursday there was one emotion that bubbled up. This has become something bigger than us.
More than a Day School.
A community.
A family.
That we are fortunate to belong to.

What does it really mean to teach our children values?
Samson’s story gives us a powerful answer.
His strength did not come from brute force. It came from commitment. From a life shaped by purpose. From values so deeply lived that they became part of who he was.
And that raises a question every parent feels:
How do we teach our children to be kind, honest, humble, respectful, and strong?
Not just when we’re watching.
Not just when it’s easy.
But when they’re out in the world, making choices for themselves.
The Torah’s answer is both simple and profound:
We live it first.

Last week’s Parenting in the Parsha reflects on Matan Torah and the importance of relationships in true education.
Before the Jewish People accepted the Torah, Hashem reminded them of His love and care. Torah is not simply knowledge to be taught — it is something to be cherished and lived.
At MTA, we believe children learn best when they feel known, cared for, and supported. Education begins with relationships.

✨ Siddur Celebration Mazel Tov ✨
This week, Esther, Everett, and Eliana, received their very first Siddurim—marking a beautiful milestone in their Jewish journey.
With eager hearts and growing voices, they are beginning a deeper connection to tefillah, joining generations of Jewish children who have turned to these sacred words for comfort, gratitude, and connection to Hashem.
We are so proud of the joy, growth, and hard work that brought them to this special moment. Watching our students take these meaningful steps is a powerful reminder that the future of our people is built one child, one prayer, and one moment of learning at a time.
May their Siddurim always be filled with heartfelt tefillos, curiosity, and a lifelong love of Torah and Judaism. 💙
