On Tuesday evening, we held our first literacy instruction workshop of the Fall, Cracking the Code: Strategies for Teaching Early Readers! ✨

This workshop is designed for adults who are looking to support early readers at home, in the classroom, and beyond. 📚

We started with an overview of Structured Literacy and moved into Foundational Reading Skills which included:

👂🏽 Phonological/Phonemic Awareness
🔊 Consonant Sounds
🔤 Short Vowel Sounds
☝🏽 Blending
✋🏽 Segmenting

Whether you are a parent, grandparent, caregiver, educator, or simply want to learn effective literacy strategies, we've got you! 🎉
