📚💜 Community Readers Wanted!

At Mimi’s Playhouse Academy Learning Center, we believe a love for reading starts EARLY! Reading helps build vocabulary, imagination, confidence, and a strong foundation for a child’s education.

Throughout September and October, we’re inviting members of our community to volunteer to read to our students! We have multiple dates available, and if you’d like to volunteer for more than one day, we’d love to have you! 🥰📖

This is especially meaningful to us because our former owner, Carolyn Ross-Brents, lovingly known as “Mimi,” had a passion for teaching young children and always stressed the importance of reading. 💜 Continuing that passion is one of the many ways we keep her legacy alive.

It takes a village, and we’d love for you to be part of ours! 🫶🏽📚

We’re so excited for a new year filled with learning, growing, and lots of fun! 💜 Some of our little learners have transitioned into new classrooms, and we loved seeing all of their smiling faces this morning.

Today our kiddos are off to school! 🏫📚

We are so excited for each of them, especially our new kindergartners! It has been such a blessing to watch them grow, learn, and reach this milestone. Some of these sweet faces have been with us since they were just 1 year old, making this moment even more special.

Reading aloud helps build a love for books, strengthens early literacy skills, and creates special memories our children will cherish. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, college student, retiree, or simply someone who enjoys reading with children, we’d love to have you join us.
