🧦💙 Lots of Socks Day at Gifted Minds Academy 💛🧦

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day, which is Saturday, March 21, Gifted Minds Academy will celebrate Lots of Socks Day on Friday, March 20.

Students are encouraged to wear bright, bold, colorful socks and/or yellow and blue, the colors that represent Down Syndrome awareness.

We are celebrating in honor of our friend Zha’ire, who has translocation Down syndrome, as we continue to teach our students about kindness, inclusion, and celebrating what makes everyone unique. 💙💛

We cannot wait to see all the fun socks! 🧦✨

☘️ St. Patrick’s Day is almost here! ☘️

On Tuesday, March 17, all Gifted Minds Academy students are invited to wear green to celebrate together. We cannot wait to see all the festive outfits! 💚

The Black Family Wellness Expo is bringing families together for a day focused on health, education, and community care. Attendees can access free health screenings, connect with local wellness organizations, and take advantage of onsite childcare while learning valuable resources to support their family’s well-being.

Free and open to everyone.

💛💙 World Down Syndrome Day at Gifted Minds Academy Learning Center 💙💛

World Down Syndrome Day is recognized on March 21st, and we will be celebrating on Friday, March 20th.

This celebration is especially meaningful to us as we honor and support our friend Zha’ire, who has Down syndrome. Zha’ire is a valued and loved part of our Gifted Minds family, and we are proud to celebrate him and all individuals with Down syndrome.

On this day, we invite all students and staff to wear bright, colorful socks to show love, inclusion, and support. Colorful socks represent uniqueness and remind us that our differences are what make our community beautiful.

At Gifted Minds Academy Learning Center, we celebrate every child’s individuality, strengths, and ability to shine. Thank you for helping us teach our scholars the importance of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.

📚🎉 Read Across America Week at Gifted Minds Academy Learning Center 🎉📚

Next week we are celebrating Read Across America Week, also known as Dr. Seuss Spirit Week. We are so excited to spend the week promoting a love for reading while having fun and building school spirit.

Students will be participating in themed dress up days inspired by some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books. We encourage all families to join in and help us make this week exciting and memorable for our scholars.

Reading builds imagination, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Thank you for continuing to support your child’s engagement and participation in class.
