Records were made to be broken—this one took over 25 years to break. Let’s give it up for our record-breaking girls’ 4x100m relay team! Competing at the Ballard Derby Invitational Meet, freshman Abigail Haxby, juniors Ruby Pirog and Rayana Crawford, and senior Eleanor Sabo set a new school record with a time of 54.38 seconds, breaking the previous mark of 54.56 seconds. The former record had stood since 2000.

In a signing ceremony last week, with family and friends in attendance, Leda Beale celebrated her commitment to Centre College and their field hockey program.

From Francis Parker School of Louisville Athletic Director Mike Kelley: “Leda has been the definition of consistency, toughness, and selfless leadership during her four years in the Wyvern Field Hockey program. Overall, she has earned 12 varsity letters, countless Wyvern Award honors, and will go down as one of the hardest-working and most respected teammates to ever wear a Francis Parker uniform. Having the opportunity to continue her field hockey career at Centre College is a fitting way to end her career as a Francis Parker student-athlete and embark on her next great journey. She will always be the example used for everything we want a Wyvern to be!"
