Life Lessons From A Spider⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My Life Lessons From series of drawings often create thoughtful responses. Why not have a go at making your own. As you learn about spiders, keep a list of things you are learning from them. You could also have thoughtful conversations about what ‘life lessons’ are. Lessons we want to carry with us through life. We can talk about how people teach us many things, and also nature teaches us many things. We don’t have to be able to talk to one another to learn. There are many ways of observing, communicating and learning. Often with this kind of conversation it’s wise to allow children to mull it over, coming back to it over time. This project is something to be done over a period. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Bioneers just announced their dates for this year's on-line Conference along with a preview of some of the speakers scheduled so far. Since Beaming Bioneers is a thing of the past, the on-line option gives people the opportunity for continued involvement without traveling to California.

"This material is comparable to platinum, except it's truly renewable," Douglas said. "You don't need to mine it; you can create it at room temperature on a massive scale using fermentation technology; it's biodegradable. It's a very green process to make a very high-end sustainable material."

IU scientists create 'nano-reactor' for the production of hydrogen biofuel
Scientists at IU have created a biomaterial that catalyzes the formation of hydrogen -- one half of the "holy grail" of splitting H2O to make hydrogen and oxygen for fueling cheap and efficient cars that run on water.

If you would like to field a team to educate tailgaters at U of L football games this season about recycling, please respond to this post. The University of Louisville Sustainability Council is gauging interest in the idea of community members fielding teams of twelve people to help increase recycling at Papa John's Stadium for each home football game this season. I will respond to interested people with details when they are set. There are no definite incentives yet, but teams are expected to gain access to the game worked, and there will be a grand prize for the team that encourages the most recycling. The point of contact is Dr. Brian Barnes (502-338-1338).

The Exergeia Report has been released. Dr. Maximilian Martin, founder and Global Managing Director of Impact Economy, led the research and authored this report that summarizes insights gathered from over 9,000 startups and projects, 100 identified as solid investment opps and 7 as GAME CHANGING SOLUTIONS with the potential to compete on a non-subsidy basis with fossil fuels, have positive climate impact, and be accelerate the much needed energy transition.
I (Teddie) have not completed reading it yet but felt that this is something that many of my facebook friends would want to read this - or at least be aware of it.
The Exergeia Project really wants feedback, so after reading this please consider sending comments and ideas to [email protected]
