LVA Honors is an annual celebration of outstanding achievements in the arts, culture, and leadership within our community. This evening gala is dedicated to recognizing the exceptional contributions of individuals in visual art, arts education, and community impact.
This year, LVA is also celebrating a remarkable milestone: 100 years of its Children’s Fine Art Classes (CFAC), a program that has nurtured creativity and inspired generations of young artists.
Proceeds from the LVA Honors Gala provide critical support for the mission of Louisville Visual Art.

Join us at LVA on February 13th at 6:30 PM for the dedication of the stunning SPARK light sculpture right here in the Portland neighborhood. Witness art illuminate at 1538 W. Lytle Street. Don’t miss this brilliant celebration! Following the dedication, step over to Portal, right across the street, to mingle and enjoy snacks and a cash bar.
What is the SPARK Sculpture at Louisville Visual Art (LVA)?
The SPARK Sculpture is a large work of art that the artist team HADDAD|DRUGAN was commissioned to create. It will be installed on the side of LVA’s building at 1538 Lytle Street in the winter of 2024-2025. SPARK stands for Student + Professional Art Resources + Knowledge - and that's what you will find at LVA's Lytle Street building! The SPARK sculpture includes bright metal elements and clear rods that light up similarly to neon tubes. The work will also have many “icons” painted onto the wall around the main “SPARK” shape using a stencil process.
