This Adult Figure Drawing Class taught by Claudia Hammer provides the perfect opportunity to enhance your skills when drawing from life! Registration is still open for the first 2024 session, which meets January 8 - February 19, Mondays, 6:00-8:30 pm.

Tonight! You don’t want to miss it!

SubClub is virtual group, facilitated by Ken Shuck, that empowers Louisville artists to submit and succeed. The goal of SubClub is to provide a supportive environment for artists to develop professionally.

The group will meet virtually on the first Thursday of the month, with each meeting lasting approximately 2 hours starting THIS THURSDAY, January 4, 2024. Through LVA's Zoom account, this initiative is accessible to ALL visual artists in any stage of their professional career.

The Louisville Metro Government, Metro Council, and Louisville Visual Art (LVA) invite artists to submit works of art for consideration for display in the second annual Art in City Hall exhibition.

Artists may submit two-dimensional artwork in any media.
This opportunity is open to all artists. There is no entry fee.
Submission form will be available today, December 4th, 2023 at 1pm.
Application deadline is January 15th, 2024 at 11:59pm.

Tonight is the premiere of "This is Home: Artist Jaylin Stewart" Directed by Nathaniel R.A. Spencer. A documentary about artist Jaylin Stewart working collaboratively with LVA and Mural Arts Philadelphia (MAP), and dozens of artists and community members to create a vibrant new mural on the outside of the local anchor California Community Center.

Join us TONIGHT for this free and open to the public screening and discussion at the Speed Art Museum Cinema. See you there!
