For Member Monday, we’re introducing our new Board member, Dr. Sirus Saeedipour! 🩺

A longtime PhiDE member, Dr. Saeedipour has served as President of our Kansas Alpha chapter and as the Premedical Student Representative to the International Fraternity Board.

He continued his involvement as a member of the Epsilon Omicron chapter at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and through his work on the Personnel Committee. 🔬

This year, he’s excited to help expand resources for our members while bringing an AI and medical informatics perspective to PhiDE.

🌟His advice to his premed self? “Say yes to the opportunities that scare you a little. The confidence comes after you do the thing, not before!”

Today we’re sharing Sumukh’s incredible story from Children’s Miracle Network. 🩺

At just 9 years old, Sumukh was diagnosed with leukemia and began months of treatment at Children’s National Hospital. With the support of his care team, donor funded Child Life Specialists, and the people around him, he found joy even in the hardest moments, earning the nickname “Mayor of 4 East” for the smiles he brought to patients, families, and staff. Today, he’s cancer free, back in school, and continues to visit the hospital that became his second home.

Stories like Sumukh’s are why we’re so proud to support Children’s Miracle Network. Every fundraiser helps make lifesaving care, vital resources, and meaningful moments possible for kids and their families. Children's Miracle Network 💛✨
