First and second grades were treated to a concert on Monday from Dom Flemons of the Carolina Chocolate Drops! A great time was had by all.
As staff and students we have wanted to provide as many live performing experiences as possible this year. Unfortunately, the safety guidelines we had to follow put limitations on what we were able to implement. Plans for productions are made months in advance and decisions had to be made based on what we knew at that time. Please keep an eye out for a letter that will be sent by the end of the week with more details about upcoming events. Also, check your student's WOW folder today for upcoming virtual and live performances.

My office was turned into a photo studio for Matilda headshots this evening. They will be printed in the program for the upcoming musical!
Call for ideas: If LPAS were to use a local celebrity to do a voice-over announcement for our Matilda production, who would you recommend? Ideas so far: Jim James, local TV reporter, Gov. Beshear, Marty Pollio, etc. Comments (silly, serious or otherwise) are welcomed.
