Little hands, big curiosity, and a whole lot of learning. 🩺❤️ Our Future Healers kiddos spent the day exploring, experimenting, and discovering just how exciting medicine can be. Every hands-on experience is another opportunity to spark curiosity and plant the seed for what’s possible.

🪲 Learning comes alive when kids can step into nature. This month, our Zoo Buddies explored Beargrass Creek with the amazing Louisville Zoo Education Team, UofL’s Dr. Matt, our fish expert, and Dr. Andrew, who taught us all about aquatic insects and the important role they play in a healthy ecosystem.

From catching fish to identifying “water bugs,” our young explorers experienced science firsthand while building curiosity, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable day possible!

Recently, our Future Healers team had the privilege of visiting with Ocean Robertson during her pediatric neurosurgery appointment. Ocean, now 6 years old, has shown incredible strength since surviving a traumatic gunshot injury at just 5 months old.

For years, we’ve had the honor of walking alongside Ocean and her family from celebrating milestones, offering encouragement, and witnessing resilience that inspires us all.
Healing is more than medicine. It’s compassion, consistency, community, and never giving up on one another.

What an incredible Saturday morning we had with our Zoo Buddies! Despite the rain, our families showed up ready to learn from Geoff York of Polar Bears International about the future of polar bears and the importance of protecting our changing world.

From an inspiring conversation and a special message from Snow Bear creator Aaron Blaise to an unforgettable polar bear training demonstration, every moment reminded us that today’s curious kids become tomorrow’s changemakers.
