Dear JCPS Employees.
After evaluating road conditions throughout the community, Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, will be Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days for JCPS students and staff. While our crews report that most main roads are in good shape, many side streets and neighborhood roads across the county remain hazardous. Due to these lingering conditions and low temperatures, we believe transitioning to NTI is the safest choice for our students and staff.

JCPS buildings are closed Wednesday and Thursday and employees will telecommute. Exception: All Property Management employees (Housekeeping, Grounds, Renovations, Mechanical/HVAC, Warehouse, and Surplus), Fleet Services, and JCPS PD will receive reporting instructions from their Cost Center Head and/or Executive Administrator.
All after school athletic and extracurricular activities are canceled for Wednesday and Thursday. If there are any changes to the YMCA CEP program, families will be notified by YMCA CEP.
