Did you know?
For the past 3 years, Parkland Kids Academy (PKA) has proudly partnered with Jenniffer Truitt, a licensed Occupational Therapist and founder of an innovative OT Literacy Program.
This impactful program is offered weekly to our children in our 2-year-old classrooms through Pre-K, giving them hands-on, group-based experiences that strengthen early literacy, fine motor skills, focus, and overall development.
At PKA, we believe in starting strong and providing every child with the tools they need to succeed. Through this partnership, we go beyond traditional preschool by combining education with therapeutic support helping our students become truly kindergarten ready.
At Parkland Kids Academy, we don’t just teach we build confident, capable learners for the future.

Picture Day this week at PKA, AICDC Lyndon, and AICDC St. Matthews was a success! 📸✨
All of the kids looked absolutely adorable, and I’m so proud of our children and thankful for our amazing staff who helped everything run smoothly across all three centers. It was a great week! 💙

Balanced Pathways™ is officially in the trademark process.
This is a model I use every day inside my centers Active Imaginations Child Development Center and Parkland Kids Academy, and now it’s being protected for what it truly is.
What started as a need inside our classrooms turned into something much bigger. Through years of real experience, this model was developed, tested, and refined day by day, child by child.
This isn’t something that can be copied. It was built through real work, real challenges, and real results. You can’t duplicate the intention, the consistency, or the heart behind it.
Balanced Pathways™ represents structure, support, and transformation especially for the children who need it most.
Protecting it isn’t just about ownership it’s about protecting the integrity of the impact.
Grateful for the vision. Grateful for the growth.

Free A GOOD APOLOGY SOUNDS LIKE – FREE PRINTABLE PDF POSTER FOR CHILDREN
Learning how to apologise properly is an important social skill for children. Many children are told to “say sorry”, but they are not always shown what a sincere apology actually sounds like.
This free printable “A Good Apology Sounds Like” poster helps children understand the key parts of a meaningful apology - taking responsibility, recognising when behaviour was not okay, asking how to make things better, and choosing better behaviour next time. The simple phrases and child friendly illustrations make it easier for children to learn empathy, kindness, and respectful communication.
This visual support can be helpful at home, in classrooms, therapy sessions, and social work or family support settings when teaching social skills, conflict resolution, and positive behaviour.

Children need hands-on, in-person experiences with nature, and this should be an integral part of all education models.
