Super of these two up and coming Freshmen Choir students! Kendall Gates and Andrew Smith auditioned and were selected for the JCPS 7th-9th grade All-County Honor Choir! After several evening rehearsals and rehearsal all day yesterday, they performed in a BEAUTIFUL concert with The JCPS All-County Honor Choirs last night! They represented us so well, put in so much work, and learned many great new things to bring back to our program! Go Tigers!

What a great day for our ! Today 16 students attended EKU Choral Day! They worked hard learning the all-state audition piece as well as a couple other songs that they then performed this evening in a concert! We had our 2nd annual FCHS Fall Choir Retreat yesterday and it was a HUGE success! Students made some great music, had fun with new and old friends, and learned some great new techniques to bring back to our classroom! Special thanks to Dr. Jill Campbell and her masters student Marie for coming all the way from EKU to work with us! We learned SO MUCH and enjoyed every minute of our time with y’all! Our Fern Creek High School Choral Program put on a fantastic concert last night! We are so proud of their perseverance and growth this year! This concert also included the debut performance of our first ever FCHS A Capella Group, Harmonic Soul! Way to go Choir students! Fern Creek High School’s Beginning Choir, SSA/Women’s Choir, and Concert Choir all performed BEAUTIFULLY at KMEA Assessment today! All three choirs received overall Proficient scores and represented The Creek with the utmost pride and professionalism! I am so very proud of them!

Fern Creek High School’s FIRST EVER Pop/A Ca****la group, which was just formed last week, attended AcaFest today at Male High School! Throughout the day they’ve gone to clinics, masterclasses, and concerts and have learned about everything from riffing and solos to choreography! They have worked hard, had fun, and even taught a couple songs to the other students during “Stop and Bop!” These Tigers are going to be unstoppable soon so y’all watch out! Now we are enjoying a great concert by Radius Vocals who have led our learning today!

Congratulations to these Fern Creek Choir students on their accomplishment of auditioning, being selected, and performing with the JCPS All-County Chorale! Their concert was outstanding and they represented us well!

FCHS Choirs had our first annual Fall Choir Retreat today and it was a huge success! We played games, sang songs and had fun getting to know one another! I am SO PROUD of all of these students and all of their hard work! We are off to a fantastic start and I can’t wait to see where the rest of the school year takes us! Special thanks to Ms. Doyle, the other Mrs. Byrd 😂, and Dr. Wilson!

So very proud of FCHS Seniors, Sarah Kim and Kim Doan, who were invited to sing at the UofL Honor Choir Festival! They spent the past two days learning some challenging music then gave an outstanding performance tonight! They represented Fern Creek so well!
