PPE in practice!
Our Medical Assisting students are learning more than just how to put on personal protective equipment. They’re learning when it’s needed, how to use it properly, and why it matters. Proper PPE is an essential part of infection prevention and helps protect both healthcare workers and patients by reducing the risk of exposure and the spread of infection. 🩺✨
Hands-on practice today = safer care tomorrow!

✨ Graduate Spotlight✨
Taylor
Limited Medical Radiography with Medical Assisting Program | Class of 2019
What did you love most about ATA?
At the time I was a student, I loved that it was an accelerated program with small class sizes, supportive instructors, and strong hands-on learning opportunities. Now, what I appreciate most is the strong foundation ATA provided that allowed me to continue my education and the many opportunities that have been offered to me because of my experience at ATA.
Where are you working now?
I am currently a full-time student in the UofL Radiology program working toward my RT. I also serve as an adjunct instructor at ATA, teaching Anatomy & Positioning. In addition, I work for UofL Health in the MRI suite. Upon graduation, I accepted a full-time position with plans to cross-train into CT.
What do you enjoy most about your career?
What I enjoy most about my career is the opportunity I have to help patients. I also love how interesting radiology is, everyday has the potential to be something different.
What advice would you give to someone considering a career in healthcare?
Be prepared to work hard and stay committed. Healthcare is challenging but incredibly rewarding. If you stay focused and open to learning, the opportunities for growth are endless.
What’s one piece of advice you have for current ATA students?
Don’t give up when things get difficult. Stay focused, ask questions, and trust the process it will be worth it in the end.
Taylor, it’s been amazing to watch your journey from ATA student to healthcare professional and educator. We are incredibly proud of you and grateful to have been a part of your story.
